Congratulations to Wg Cdr( Retd) Joseph Thomas and the team on setting up a Variable Stability Flight Simulator in Bengaluru .
May the Simulator help many in the Aviation Industry .

A well-known writer once said, “We do not write because we want to write. We do because we have to!” My friend Joseph Thomas takes on challenging tasks for a similar reason. He has an irrepressible urge to move on the road less travelled. Now, when he is well past eighty years of age, he has taken on this project of developing a flight simulator. He had a passion for flying, so he joined the Air Force. He was trained as a test pilot in the USA in 1971, and was the first boss of the Test Pilots School in India. He is eminently qualified to delve into this field. I wish him all the best. He has an urge to ‘reach for the sky’…and I suspect he will look for the world beyond the universe!
